Building on this foundation, Vipul earned an MBA and transitioned into leadership roles, focusing on developing advanced monitoring solutions for fisheries and ocean resource management.
With a deep understanding of maritime operations and a passion for sustainability, Vipul specializes in creating innovative technologies that enhance efficiency, safety of life at sea, and sustainable resource management. Through OceanBytes, he is dedicated to empowering the blue economy and supporting the global effort to protect our oceans.
Robert Graves, Co-founder and CTO
Robert Graves is a technology leader with over 25 years of experience in software development, specializing in complex algorithms and systems, data analytics, video streaming and cloud-based platforms. He has a proven track record of building scalable solutions for real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
As Chief Technology Officer at OceanBytes, Robert leads the development of innovative technologies that enhance operational efficiency, improve fisheries management, and promote safety at sea. Pedro Noriega, Co-Founder and VP Sales
Pedro Noriega brings over four decades of expertise spanning aquaculture, fisheries management, and maritime technology solutions. With a B.Sc. in Biochemical Engineering with a Major in Marine Sciences & Aquaculture from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and a Master of Science in Aquaculture & Fisheries Management from the University of Stirling, Scotland, Pedro has built a distinguished career bridging science and commercial operations. Pedro’s multicultural background and extensive network across the Americas and Europe continue to play a vital role in OceanBytes’ growth and expansion in international markets.
Scott Herman, Strategic Advisor
Scott Herman brings decades of deep experience in geospatial technology, remote sensing, and earth intelligence to his role as Strategic Advisor at OceanBytes. Throughout his career, Scott has built and led high‑impact teams in industries ranging from national security to commercial satellite startups. He previously served as CTO of BlackSky, CEO of Cognitive Space and as Chief Product Officer at Maxar.
Currently, at Cultivation Capital, Scott works on their geospatial investment strategy, working closely with startups to refine product vision, scale operations, and navigate complex technical challenges. In his advisory role with OceanBytes, Scott will help guide building cutting‑edge capabilities that translate into real business and scientific impact.
